The Foundation works to support Aboriginal students with a focus on both education and personal growth. This takes many forms, including supporting students from remote communities to undertake their studies in Melbourne in a culturally safe way.
Critical to success is the provision of dedicated numeracy and literacy support to each young person – starting with full consultation with the student on their individual needs to design a tailored program.
Students are then supported with a combination of regular curriculum and Vocational Education and Training (VET) subjects (where appropriate), along with practical qualifications and certificates to support employment.
This ensures that the educational programs and resources are fully aligned with each student’s individual needs.
